Kiera Fischer

Summer Student

Kiera Fischer is a third-year law student at the University of Alberta who worked for the Centre as a summer student in 2026. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Hons.) before pursuing law school. Lingering interests from Kiera’s political science background founded her desire to research, write, and “podcast” about Alberta’s constitutional referendum questions and legal challenges to the prospect of Alberta separation. Throughout her work, she is passionate about explaining topics in constitutional law to a broader audience. Kiera can be found hiking a mountain or running in the river valley when not in school.
